George Howlett lives and works in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Since graduating from Visual Arts at CIT TAFE in 2015, he has been a consistent presence in the WA art scene, showing regularly in group and solo exhibitions. He has completed several public commissions, notably Historic Heart for the Perth CBD. He has also worked as an assistant to established artists on several major public commissions both locally and internationally.

George is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses light, video, photography and painting to create bold and striking installations. Recently his medium of choice has been recycled industrial and commercial neon lighting products, repurposing the discarded and found materials in increasingly inventive ways, usually in combination with painting or photographs. His work is mostly humorous and ironically light hearted as he comments on his experiences of work and life.

His work is represented in the collections of Artbank, Cox Architecture, Fulcrum Agency, CIT and numerous private collections
